The international report Global Matrix 4.0, assessing children and youth activity levels, delivers troubling news for Poland. We received a score of 1 in the general physical activity category, indicating that fewer than 20% of children in the country meet the recommendation of at least one hour of activity every day of the week. This is alarming, especially given the rising issue of obesity—excess weight affects nearly one in three 8-year-olds. Instead of improving, the situation is worsening, making the promotion of physical activity a top priority.
